Q. How much do braces cost?

A. Every mouth is different. There is no standard fee. The doctor needs to evaluate on an individual basis.

Q. Does the doctor really run on time?
A. For the most part, yes. With cooperation from our staff as well as our patients i.e.taking care of equipment, being on time, good brushing.

Q. Do Orthodontic Treatments hurt?
A. A little discomfort after adjustments, usually Tylenol or Advil is all it takes.

Q. Why do you need braces if teeth are straight but the bite is off?
A. Orthodontics isn't only for a beautiful smile, a good and healthy bite helps eliminate other health problems in later years. inclusing wearing of the teeth which may become severe as one gets older.

Q. How much longer do I have until I get my braces off?
A. At the beginning, all patients are aware of the time span for their treatment. If appointments are missed, elastics or other appliances are not worn accordingly the treatments will take longer.

Q. How long do I have to wear my retainers for?
A. The retention period is very important to ensure a certain stability. We guide you for two more years according to the following retainer schedule:

FIRST 48 hrs.........24 hrs.
NEXT 24 mos..........Night wear
3rd yr...............3 nights a week
4th yr...............1 night a week

Q. What is a bite plate for?
A. A bite plate lifts up your front teeth to enable us to start movements on the lower ones without damaging you orthodontic brackets.

Q. Can the fee for orthodontic treatments be financed?
A. Yes, there are several payment options.

Q. Do I continue to see my dentist for regular visits during orthodontic treatments?
A. Yes.

Q. How long is a complete orthodontic treatment?
A. A treatment can last between 18-30 months, depending on the difficulty and amount of treatments needed.
